Job Description
Create your best future and join Westpac as Executive Manager, Energy, Infrastructure and Resources (EIR) Credit
What’s the role?
As Executive Manager Energy, Infrastructure and Resources (EIR) Credit, you’ll have end-to-end accountability for one of Westpac Institutional Bank’s most important credit portfolios. You’ll lead senior credit decision‑making across complex and capital‑intensive transactions, supporting clients involved in energy generation and transition, infrastructure assets, and natural resources.
You’ll lead and develop a team of Credit Officers, setting clear expectations and building strong capability while acting as a visible driver of disciplined risk culture across the EIR portfolio and wider Institutional Credit team. Working closely with first line and product partners across Corporate & Institutional Banking, Financial Markets, Global Transaction Services and Commodities, Trade and Transition, you will provide trusted challenge and strong influence, balancing risk and growth. You will play a key role in shaping second line risk strategy in an environment of change, expansion and increasing portfolio complexity, applying sound judgement where ambiguity exists.
This role also represents EIR Credit at senior internal forums and engages credibly with regulators and auditors, clearly articulating risk perspectives not only on individual transactions, but on policy, strategy and market direction.
This is a permanent, full‑time leadership role based in Sydney or Melbourne.
