Job Purpose
To provide exceptional customer service and comprehensive maintenance services to the client and the contract. The role requires understanding procedures, processes, and operating them to the required standards. Minimum qualification: Certificate III in Air-conditioning & Refrigeration.
Quick Information
On-site full-time at client's data center facilities
Shift roster: 4 days on, 5 days off, 5 days on, 4 days off, 5 days on, covering annual and sick leave as required
Site location: Ultimo, Sydney
Relief technician mainly days, shifts from 5:30 am to 5:30 pm as needed
Responsibilities
Ensure maintenance activities are carried out with regard to health and safety, business risk, and uptime criteria
Maintain high standards of response to asset performance and troubleshooting
Perform routine preventative maintenance on HV and LV systems, HVAC, and associated equipment
Monitor BMS for system status and alarms
Conduct building walk-arounds, meter readings, and fault investigations
Prepare service and incident reports promptly
Ensure repairs comply with regulations
Assist with equipment installation and data capture
Participate in emergency call-out roster, including weekends and absences
Develop understanding of building infrastructure
Communicate effectively with team and clients
Manage contractors and maintain relationships
Support business continuity plans and ensure policy compliance
Manage tasks as directed by the client and escalate issues appropriately
Provide relief support to the Shift Lead as needed
People Management
Provide leadership, coaching, and support to team members
Onboard new employees and promote a positive team culture
Maintain customer relationships and manage performance standards
Participate in team activities and promote teamwork
Quality and Safety
Handle QHSE administrative tasks
Manage work system logs and hazard reports
Ensure compliance with training and safety regulations
Additional Responsibilities
Manage supplier quotes and process approvals
Drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency
Provide expert advice and performance in critical situations

Additional Requirements
Flexibility to work outside core hours occasionally
Safety code compliance, experience with risk assessments
Experience in maintaining critical environments
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers
Experience with maintenance scheduling and subcontractor management
Current NSW Electrical or HVAC/Refrigeration License
Strong customer relationship skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings and systems
Experience with CMMS and BMS systems
