HRM is delighted to partner with a large, purpose‑driven Not‑for‑Profit organisation to recruit an experienced State Funding Coordinator to support education and training programs across Queensland and Tasmania.
This is a strategic role suited to a highly organised professional with strong experience in government funding, compliance, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager – Education and Training, the State Funding Coordinator is responsible for overseeing financial and contractual compliance across multiple state‑funded programs. You will ensure funding is maximised, reporting obligations are met and programs are delivered in line with regulatory and contractual requirements.
You will work closely with internal teams and government stakeholders, contributing to sustainable growth and high‑impact outcomes across diverse communities.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage state‑funded education and training programs
* Ensure full compliance with funding contracts and regulatory requirements
* Coordinate onboarding of new funded programs
* Monitor income streams and verify accurate claims
* Prepare and submit accurate financial and performance reports
* Support teams with funding‑related advice and guidance
* Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, grants and partnerships
* Implement quality assurance and continuous improvement processes
* Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies and stakeholders
* Monitor policy changes and adapt funding strategies accordingly
About You
You bring a strategic, analytical and collaborative approach, with the ability to manage complex funding arrangements across multiple programs.
You will have:
* Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in business, finance, public administration or education
* Demonstrated experience managing government funding streams
* Strong reporting, analysis and compliance skills
* Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in complex environments
* Experience working across multiple stakeholders and agencies
* Knowledge of the VET sector and Queensland funding programs (highly desirable)
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building capabilities
