About Thrive Group Tasmania
Thrive Group Tasmania is a not for not-for-profit Education and Care provider that has been operating in Tasmania since 1975. Thrive started as a Northern Family Day Care Service and we now run a statewide FDC Service. As the organisaion grew we began offering Education and Care services in regional and remote areas where it was not profitable for large providers to go. We nopw operate 9 Early Learning Services in Regional Tasmania (Beaconsfield, Bicheno, Campbell Town, Queenstown, Scottsdale, St Helens, St Marys, Triabunna & Whitemark), 7 with attached Outside School Hours Care Services. We also run 7 school-based OSHC services in the Greater Launceston area (Evandale, Hagley, Invermay, Lilydale, Longford, Riverside & Westbury) and 2 stand-alone OSHC services with school collections (Newstead & Riverside). Thrive is governed by a volunteer board of skilled professionals.

Job Summary:
The OSHC Program Coordinator is responsible for the effective coordination and management of the day-to-day programs of Thrive's Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Services in the greater Launceston region. The Program coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all OSHC services have and implement a play and leisure-based program, including designing School holiday programs in consultation with the educators, and developing risk management plans where needed.
The Program coordinator ensures that the programs meet the needs of all children, abide by and operate within the National Quality Standard and Thrive's Policies and Procedures, and provide families with information and feedback about their children's development. The Coordinator supports staff by identifying training needs and acting as a positive role model for both staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop a child-focused program that caters to individual needs while promoting learning opportunities.
2. Ensure compliance with National Quality Standard guidelines in all aspects of program delivery.
3. Provide regular feedback to families regarding their children's development progress within the OSHC programs.
4. Identify training needs among staff members/volunteers; provide guidance/support as necessary; act as a positive role model for them.
5 Undertake administrative tasks such as record-keeping/documentation related to Program and Planning or day-to-day service operation (e.g. evacuation drills).
6. Work with the OSHC coordinator to review staff performance and collaborate across services
7. Collaborate with other team members to enhance program quality and effectiveness.
8. Maintain effective communication with relevant stakeholders, including parents, school personnel, and external agencies.
Qualifications:
1. Relevant qualifications in Education and Care, or a related field.
2. Experience working in an outside school hours care setting or similar role preferred.
3. Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing outside school hours care programs (e.g., National Quality Framework).
4. First Aid/CPR certification is desirable, position cannot be started until this is obtained.
Thrive Group Tasmania is eligible and has applied for the Early Childhood Workers Retention Payment. Indicative rate is without EWRP, or Superannuation.
