Senior Executive Officer

* Location: Campbelltown/Parramatta based (location flexibility across NSW to be discussed with the Executive Director, Housing Services). Adhering to Government Flexible Working Policy of 50% in office
* Employment type: Talent Pool only
* Grade/Salary: Clerk Grade 11/12 - $149,739 to $173,174 pa plus superannuation

Your role

This is a temporary opportunity for an experienced DCJ employee to step into a high‐impact role supporting the Executive Director, Housing Services. You will provide strategic, executive and project support that contributes directly to organisational priorities across Homes NSW. This role is ideal for someone seeking to broaden their executive‐level capability, influence major programs, and strengthen strategic operations within a fast‐paced environment.

What you'll do

As part of the Housing Services team, you will:

* Provide high‐level executive, secretariat and project support to the Executive Director, including preparing briefs, reports and strategic correspondence
* Act as the primary point of contact for the Executive Director, coordinating communication and managing stakeholder expectations to meet critical deadlines
* Monitor, track and report on strategic, operational and project plans to support informed decision‐making
* Research and prepare strategic advice on complex policy, planning and operational matters
* Provide issues management support and coordinate timely responses to emerging matters
* Contribute to and lead administrative improvements, systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and outcomes

You'll work closely with the Executive Director, senior leaders, ministerial staff, internal stakeholders, and external partners to support the delivery of critical housing, homelessness, and service‐delivery initiatives across NSW.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare complex, high‐quality documents and briefs
* Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive issues, competing priorities and urgent deadlines with professionalism and discretion
* High‐level stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation
* Analytical and problem‐solving capability, with experience providing strategic advice to senior leaders
