Contract to 30 June 2026 | Full-Time | Government Client
We're working with a Federal Government agency preparing to transition its ICT services from an internal setup to a shared services arrangement with another department. They're seeking a skilled and steady Project Manager to lead this critical change. This role involves leading strategy, managing risk, and guiding both internal teams and external relationships through a complex ICT transition. You'll also provide ongoing technical and operational support to the agency's ICT team.
What you'll be doing
Leading the full project lifecycle for the ICT services transition
Developing and executing an ICT strategy that aligns with broader business goals
Managing stakeholder relationships across departments, ensuring strong communication and trust
Supporting the internal ICT function, overseeing daily operations, team performance, and service continuity
Advising senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence, particularly around systems security, continuity, and vendor management
Ensuring the agency's IT systems and data remain secure and reliable throughout the transition
Managing project budgets, timelines, and resources while ensuring quality and value for money
What we're looking for
A proven track record in successfully delivering ICT projects in the public sector
NV1 security clearance (must be current)
Experience managing ICT transitions or shared service implementations
Strong leadership and communication skills, able to bring people on the journey
Financial oversight experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, technical teams, and external providers
