Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for numbers and compliance? We're seeking a Payroll Officer to join a dynamic team and ensure the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll.
About the Role
As a Payroll Officer, you'll be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies. You'll work closely with HR and Finance teams to deliver a seamless payroll experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Process weekly/fortnightly/monthly payrolls accurately and on time
* Maintain employee payroll records and update changes as required
* Interpret awards, EBAs, and contracts to ensure correct payments
* Manage payroll queries and provide timely resolutions
* Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations
* Ensure compliance with tax, superannuation, and other statutory obligations
* Support audits and reporting requirements as needed
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a payroll position
* Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance
* Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Chris21, MicrOpay, ADP, MYOB, etc.)
* High attention to detail and strong numerical skills
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
