Job Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Finance Team in Melbourne .
As a Payroll Officer, you would be responsible for handling a payroll function for a team of plus employees.
Ideally you will have experience of managing a large payroll operation with a solid understanding of all payroll related matters, to maintain accuracy and integrity of payroll system data, and to assist staff and management with all payroll related queries.
Responsibilities: Full payroll function including Salary, allowance, overtime and payroll deductions calculation / processing.
Month end reporting for distribution to key stakeholders, including month end journals preparation Completing Payroll tax and Workcover calculation.
Maintaining knowledge of taxation laws relevant to remuneration and ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations in relation to payroll.
Yearly reporting including Ad Hoc reports requested by the management.
Requirements Experience with any of Micropay (highly regarded), ADP, SAP, HR3, Chris21 or similar Payroll Processing System Experience with Medium Sized Payroll Knowledge of payroll tax and Workcover legislation in Victoria, NSW and QLD.
Experience dealing with ATO, Centrelink, Superannuation clearing houses.
Experience with Workday is an advantage.
