Enginium is expanding our high‐performing engineering team, and we're looking for experienced professionals to support one of Australasia's most significant space and infrastructure programs.
We have three roles available.
Safety Certification Engineer
Location: Canberra (Symonston, ACT) – Minimum 3 days per week in‐office; flexible arrangements may be considered.
Security Clearance: Baseline.
Contract: Initial 12‐month contract, with two 12‐month extension options; end date February 2026.
Reporting to: Mr R. Rob Milne, Team Leader.
Role Description: Lead the aviation certification program across Australian and New Zealand domains. Work with the design authority and aviation stakeholders to ensure safety certification needs are met through technical reviews, audits, verification activities.
Key Requirements
* Experience: 5+ years in complex developmental or government procurement programs, including 3 years in space, satellite, or aviation projects.
* Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of engineering approaches for aviation technology development and system life‐cycle management.
* Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering in a relevant field (highly desirable).
Security Certification Engineer

Role Description: Lead security certification and accreditation. Manage relationships with security stakeholders, perform quality assurance, and develop engineering processes to ensure project security objectives and compliance standards are met.
Key Requirements
* Experience: 5+ years in complex engineering programs, with at least 3 years specifically in space, satellite, or aviation‐related sectors.
* Reliance: Demonstrated experience with Australian Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) or equivalent 'secure‐by‐design' approaches.
* Technical Knowledge: Understanding of GNSS, SBAS, digital signal processing, or satellite communications technology.
Systems Engineering Team Lead
Location: Canberra (Symonston, ACT) – Minimum 3 days per week in‐office; flexible arrangements may be considered.
Security Clearance: Baseline.
Contract: Initial 12‐month contract, with two 12‐month extension options; end date February 2026.
Reporting to: Mr R. Rob Milne, Team Leader.
Role Description: Manage a team of systems engineers to elicit stakeholder needs, develop customer requirements, and lead the overall systems engineering effort. Provide mentorship to junior engineers and ensure effective integration across all engineering specialties.
Key Requirements
* Experience: 5+ years in complex developmental programs, including 3 years in space or aviation‐related projects.
* Technical Leadership: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary virtual teams and manage/mentor junior systems engineers.
* System Theory: Advanced understanding of systems theory and system life‐cycle management.
Security Clearance Requirement
* Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance (Baseline or higher).
* Baseline required; sponsorship available for eligible candidates.
* Eligibility: Must be an Australian citizen and have a checkable background.
