Who You Are
You're a meticulous and dedicated Physical Security Technician with a strong background in maintaining and supporting physical security systems. With expertise in surveillance systems, access control, alarm systems, and security infrastructure, you excel at ensuring the protection and safety of personnel, assets, and facilities. Your ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize security equipment makes you a key player in safeguarding operations and assets.

What You'll Do
In the role of Physical Security Technician, your duties will include:
* Install and perform preventive maintenance on access control equipment, including electrified door hardware, security cameras, turnstiles, alarm systems, motion sensors, duress buttons, and keypads.
* Diagnose, repair, and replace components of access control devices and IP video products (e.g., IP Cameras, network cables, card readers, turnstiles, alarm devices, WIFI door locks, intercoms, IP-punch clocks).
* Exceptional organizational and time management skills, ensuring the timely inspection and repair of campus wide physical security issues.
* Demonstrate electrical expertise, including knowledge of digital electronics, AC/DC, Amps, circuits, and understanding of parallel and series termination circuits and their effects.
* Ability to properly perform and document periodic testing and maintenance on all access control, video and related campus wide physical security devices, along with the execution of a daily review checklist of key security components.
* Perform other assigned comparable or transient duties, which are within the area of knowledge and skills in this job description.
* Providing excellent service and support to campus security personnel.
* Writing reports, maintaining logs and use Excel to track inventory and analyze data from security systems.
Requirements
* Must be a US or Australian citizen
* Must Possess an active US Top Secret/SCI w/ Counterintelligence Polygraph or AUS PV Clearance.
* Must have 5 years of related experience; preferably field experience including installation and service of access control, alarm monitoring and video surveillance systems, or any other technical hands-on experience.
* Must be highly motivated and have a desire to learn and develop skills in the physical security field.
* Must be able to engage in strenuous physical activity, including climbing stairs, carrying ladders, and other equipment.
* Competence with hand and power tools and work in various environments (indoor and outdoor).
* Must have strong attention to details and precision in installation and maintenance tasks.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
Desired Qualifications
* Lenel S2 Certified
* Reading and commenting on architectural diagrams
This role will be located in Alice Springs. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
