Mid-Senior Level Trade Manager
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated trade manager to oversee the activities of our team at the Wellington Correctional Centre.
The successful candidate will supervise and develop inmates, ensuring they improve their work skills and contribute productively to our objectives. They will also oversee productivity efficiency and commercial objectives while meeting Workplace Health & Safety, Quality Management requirements, and customer service needs.
* Salary: $91,705 pa + Incidental Allowance + Leave Loading + Superannuation
This role requires a certificate III in Correctional Practice or the ability to complete it within specified timeframes. Additionally, the candidate must have experience and knowledge in most aspects of printing, graphic design, screen/digital/sublimation printing, Lithographic Offset Printing, Web/Flexographic printing, and Printing Engineering. Relevant trade qualifications and a forklift license are also desired but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and develop inmates to improve their work skills and enhance post-release employment prospects.
2. Oversee the activities of the team to ensure productivity efficiency and commercial objectives are achieved.
3. Ensure all Workplace Health & Safety, Quality Management requirements, and customer service needs are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven post-trade experience.
* Demonstrated experience in large format/screen printing is favourably considered.
* General understanding of capabilities around the use of computers and electronic platforms to access relevant departmental programmes and applications.
* Ability and willingness to work across trades as required.
