Key Responsibilities
* Carry out general maintenance and repair work across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house
* Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests
* Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure compliance
* Assist with basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical tasks
* Ensure all work complies with WHS regulations and resort standards
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and report major issues to management
* Participate in shift rotations including weekends and public holidays as required
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar maintenance or engineering role ideally within hospitality or resorts
* Relevant certifications (desirable but not essential)
* Strong problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on approach
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Physically fit and capable of manual tasks
* Must have full Australian working rights
**This role is paid under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020 with Monday‑Friday pay rate starting from $30.68 per hour Saturday pay rate: $38.35/hr and Sunday pay rate: $46.01/hr (plus applicable penalty and public holiday rates)**
