About the role
We are seeking the expertise of an experienced Facilities Management professional to oversee the upkeep and presentation of an iconic Brisbane hotel in the heart of South Bank. In this senior role, the Facilities Manager will lead our team of maintenance guru’s in ensuring the functionality of all aspects of the building, plant and equipment.
Reporting to the General Manager, this full-time position will be a leader throughout the hotel ensuring a culture emphasising a safe and functional workplace in allowing our staff to continue providing spaces to elevate our guest experience.
* Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner, ensuring clear communication to all departments
Plan, implement, administer and review effective Preventative Maintenance Programs (PPM) in accordance with industry best practice Lead end to end infrastructure Capital Works projects Focus on the development, training and mentoring of team members to ensure a talent pipeline Conduct regular inspections of the building interior and exterior including plant and equipment to ensure adherence with all Statutory Compliance is maintained and documented at all times Maintain all distribution systems for electricity, water, steam and gas, and maintain air conditioning, heating, ventilation and refrigeration systems Monitor, coordinate and administer the services performed by outside contractors in accordance with all contracts, service agreements and warranties Select vendors and contractors that meet hotel quality standards and pricing specifications Be an active contributor to the WHS Committee to ensure that a safe workplace is maintained

Skills & experience
* Previous experience as a Facilities or Maintenance Manager.
Trade or Facilities Management qualification desirable. Previous experience in a hotel/accommodation operation highly regarded. First aid & CPR certificates or willingness to undertake training. Demonstrated understanding and experience implementing WHS practices. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop team members. Understanding of budgeting, rostering and payroll. Professionalism, time management and organisation skills. A strong people first focus. Excellent verbal and written communication.
