About the role
The Isaac Events Centre Trainee will be part of our Community Facilities team in Moranbah. This is a varied role where you'll get hands‑on experience in administration and customer service while studying for a Certificate III in Business.
Your traineeship will see you:
* Welcome visitors and assist with enquiries at the Events Centre.
* Learn office and administration skills including data entry, filing, and correspondence handling.
* Support the organisation of events, meetings and workshops.
* Work with a supportive team and training provider to complete your qualification.
The role at a glance
* Type: Fixed Term – 12 months
* Hours: Full-time, 72.5 hours per fortnight
* Roster: Monday to Friday, 9‑day fortnight (hello long weekends)
Who we're looking for
This traineeship is open to all ages and backgrounds – what matters most is enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. You'll thrive in this role if you:
* Have a positive attitude and enjoy working with people.
* Can communicate well and work as part of a team.
* Are confident with the basics of Microsoft Office.
* Have completed Year 10 or higher.
* Hold a driver's licence (desirable but not essential).
