How will I help?
The Secured Lending Taskforce (SLTF) is a specialist team that is responsible for the end-to-end management and investigation of secured lending incidents. Through the task force, we implement long term improvements that will minimise the risk of similar events in the future.
The Investigation Analyst will be responsible for assessment and evidence gathering for complex mortgage conduct matters and conducting analysis to identify issues of misconduct, non-compliance, control gaps and patterns. The Investigation Analyst will also provide support to the Intelligence Analysts within the SLTF Team.
*We are looking for someone for a 6 month secondment or contract*
Your responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to:
- Undertake designated File reviews and recording of Information and anomalies covering all Westpac group brands and systems
- Retrieve & supply copies of loan and other customer documents relevant to the customer
- Conduct customer file reviews and comprehensive analyses to collect evidence of fraud, manipulation or Loan Originator misconduct
- Review of loan files to identify any issues with the lending, patterns or the documents provided
- Verification and validation of supporting information in relation to loan portfolio with both Internal and External parties
- Liaise with both Customer Management Legal (CML), Risk and Fraud Operations (RFO) and Credit (where required) where anomalies found with detailed recommendations to be presented
- Assess policy, processes and controls & recommend improvements where potential gaps in process are evident
- Support Group Investigations and Broker QA areas with information required for investigation and decision making
- Stakeholder engagement with WBC Group entities associated with outcomes of matters undertaken/completed by SLTF including Working groups
- Recording of file reviews into shared database/Banks Fraud Database (LORICA) to comply with both Bank Internal process and Equifax requirements.
- Reporting of relevant AML requirements per AML procedures as found following file reviews
