Description and Requirements

Whether you're experienced in the Education or childcare sector, have done some babysitting, this is the first time you're thinking about working with children, or anything in between, THIS is the role for you!
About the role
Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus a Regional Managers who regularly visits and will mentor you at your service.

Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

About the school
Your new service is Helping Hands Yandina. You will have your own dedicated OSHC room within the school plus use of the school hall and all outdoor spaces. With a licensed capacity of 35 children, you will manage a small, close-knit team and have plenty of time to spend engaging in fun on the floor! This part-time prospect offers 36 hours per week, including 6 hours of non-contact admin time.

Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
Enjoy working with school-age children
Robust and clear communication skills
Team player with a desire to become a service leader
Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a Paid Blue Card for working with children
Australian work rights
Qualified or Enrolled in a Diploma or Higher qualification (Approved by ACECQA) or willing to study
