Head of Operational Excellence is a new and important role focused on strategically important cross-functional projects targeting operational excellence at Cashrewards.

Working with leaders across different functions to identify areas of under-performance, friction and confusion, and then will lead programs of work to improve performance and alleviate problems. Projects are expected to be particularly impactful when they sit across multiple teams. The role is truly cross-functional, as the remit is to support better processes and performance in all areas of the business. The role consequently will partner with SLT members from across the organisation to deliver on this mission.

Additionally, the Head of Operational Excellence will own OKRs at an SLT level and deliver on their implementation across the business as well as driving the adoption of a radical focus mindset by the business. The role will partner with the GM Strategy and Corporate Development to drive adoption of the OKRs and Strategy across the business.

**Your Focus**:

- Head of Operational Excellence reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with the COO across the entire business
- Head of Operational Excellence will have one direct report [Senior Associate], for whom they will be people manager & leader.
- The role will identify major problem areas for business, and in particular where existing processes, incentives, technology and ways of working are delivering sub-optimal engagement outcomes for teams
- The role will take SLT-level business ownership of major cross-functional initiatives as required in order to support Operational Excellence, particularly in order to remediate hot spot issues
- The role will use and implement RACI / RAPID style frameworks with sensible levels of process, where appropriate and where the expected benefit outweighs the imposition of process
- SLT-level ownership of the end-to-end OKRs process, and in particular working with the ELT to agree on process and ensuring CEO-level alignment on Objectives and Key Results
- Role will guide and coach teams running critical workstreams on strategic approaches, prioritisation and bias-to-action thinking
- Coordinate with Strategy team on ownership and coordination of major strategic projects, with a useful heuristic being that external-facing projects sit with Strategy, and internal-facing projects sit with Operational Excellence
- Regularly present to ELT [Executive Leadership Team] on organisational health metrics, major cross-functional projects, and OKR implementation.

- Lead - ability to lead both within clearly defined reporting relationships but also across teams and across levels
- Autonomous - ability to create and foster relationships with SLT-level and ELT-level team in order to be more effective in driving operational excellence
- Creative - problem-solving skillset can be applied to any set of issues, and alternative solutions are sought and found
- Communication - ability to coordinate and communicate at SLT+ level, both verbally and in writing
- Agile - ability to handle non-routine problems and situations
- Analytical - strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Commercial - possess a solution mindset, working with internal stakeholders to delivery strong business outcomes navigating any technical issues that may arise
- Coach - capable of developing others in your area of expertise

Qualifications & Experience**:

- Extensive experience operating in an intense and demanding environment essential (prior exposure to consulting, banking, media, performance marketing or adjacent industry preferred)
- Experience with change management and implementing OKRs framework in cross-functional organisations preferred
- Ability to use _Strategy Toolkit, _primarily in problem-solving and in story-telling is essential
