We are seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to join our team in Brisbane. This is an opportunity to lead impactful projects and make your mark in a cooperative and high-performing environment.
The business has recently merged with one of Australia’s leading civil and structural engineering firms broadening our technical capability and service offerings, national reach across multiple offices and shared resources and cross-discipline collaboration.
The group specialises in the land development, infrastructure, winery, marine and environmental sectors.
You will be responsible for a team of motivated staff while building the Brisbane office in an exciting time, as the group looks to expand it’s resources due to existing and upcoming projects in the build up to the 2032 Olympic Games.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the Brisbane Office.
- Seek new business opportunities.
- Develop budgets and prepare fee proposals.
- Oversee the land development and infrastructure design and drafting program in Brisbane.
- Lead civil design, including earthworks, drainage, roadworks and water supply and sewerage.
- Manage technical reviews and internal QA processes.
- Undertake project management and mentoring of staff.
- Be involved in strategic planning and develop implementation plans.
- Improve engineering application processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- RPEQ accreditation.
- 15+ years’ experience in land development and infrastructure projects
- Strong technical expertise in civil design with knowledge of relevant guidelines, Australian Standards and Statutory Authority regulations.
- Proficiency in civil design software such as AutoCAD and 12D.
- Experience in QA processes and design reviews.
