Electrical Power Systems Technician
The role of the Electrical Power Systems Technician involves ensuring the efficient operation of zone substations. Key responsibilities include:
• Designing, constructing, and maintaining zone substations
• Installing, commissioning, and testing associated equipment for zone substations and distribution networks
• Performing switching operations for high and low voltage engineering services
• Inspecting and reporting on network assets to maintain quality standards
This position requires a strong understanding of electrical power systems and substation technologies. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as basic computer operation skills and a willingness to travel and work away from home.
Essential Qualifications:
- Certificate IV in ESI Power Systems Substation or equivalent qualification
- Qualified Supervisors Certificate
- Driver's licence
