Geospatial Consultant Opportunity
Brunel is seeking a skilled Geospatial Consultant to join our team in Brisbane, working with a global Oil & Gas industry leader.
About this role:
This exciting opportunity enables you to leverage your geospatial expertise and experience in providing data management and software engineering services. As a Geospatial Consultant, you will be responsible for managing corporate geospatial databases, sourcing, integrating, and managing geospatial data from various sources into the corporate GIS.
Main Responsibilities:
* Application of Geomatics technical expertise including geospatial data management and Remote Sensing technologies/platforms as part of delivering business solutions.
* Lead the evaluation, planning, and execution of the company's Remote Sensing initiatives.
* Maintain close links with colleagues across project teams, asset teams, Geomatics, and strategic technical partnerships (e.g., Aircraft, Engineering, Development, Asset Planning, Environment, Cultural Heritage, Operations) for ongoing improvements and management of the integrated GIS.
* Drive and implement new and novel technology, data delivery systems, data integrations, and unique services in line with the Geospatial Strategy, with a specific focus on Remote Sensing.
Key Requirements:
* Relevant Tertiary degree
* Experience in Geomatics roles and exposure to Geospatial Science or related Geoscience
* Proven record of integrated business/project coordination and delivery
* Experienced with the ESRI suite of ArcGIS software, Microsoft SQL, and Global Mapper
* Able to engage and influence business stakeholders to define and implement key Geomatics workflows to meet business requirements
* Proven ability to self-manage and multitask to ensure successful delivery of company workstreams and projects
* Advanced problem-solving skills and track record of being solution orientated
* Actively demonstrate HSSE leadership, manage Geomatics HSSE risks, and influence decision makers to achieve improved safety outcomes
