About the Opportunity

Are you a motivated and critical thinker with exceptional communication skills? Bowral Hospital is offering a unique opportunity for a passionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Transfer of Care team.

In this pivotal role, you will support the safe and effective discharge of complex patients, ensuring continuity of care across settings. You'll work collaboratively within a patient focused multidisciplinary team, contributing your expertise to improve patient outcomes and streamline discharge planning.

Where You'll Be Working

Bowral & District Hospital, located in the picturesque Southern Highlands of NSW, offers a unique blend of rural charm and cosmopolitan amenities. As part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, it has strong connections to tertiary facilities at Campbelltown and Liverpool.

The hospital originally opened in 1889 and has undergone significant redevelopment, with the first stage completed in December 2020. This $123 million redevelopment includes a new Clinical Services Building with a modern emergency department, operating theatres, and inpatient wards. The ongoing second stage will further enhance outpatient services and include a new Aboriginal Dreaming Garden.

How to Apply

* Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and 3 years relevant full time equivalent post registration experience, and approved post graduate nursing/midwifery qualifications in a field relevant to the specialty field, or such other qualification, or experience deemed appropriate by the organisation.
* Please outline your knowledge of Whole of Health priorities and skills in clinical co-ordination and patient flow initiatives
* Please provide an example of when you have provided safe, compassionate and quality care that is culturally responsive in line with NSW Health CORE Values.
