This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and motivated Trust Accountant to take ownership of our trust accounting functions within a high-performing sales and property management team.
The Role
Reporting to our Director, you will be responsible for the accurate management of our trust accounts and financial compliance processes across both sales and property management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily trust account transactions, ensuring compliance with legislative and agency requirements Process receipts, disbursements, and deposits for sales and rental trust accounts Complete daily, mid-month, and end-of-month reconciliations accurately and on schedule Prepare and maintain financial statements, ledgers, and reporting documentation Handle settlements, bonds, and vendor payments in line with industry regulations Liaise with property managers, sales consultants, and external auditors as required Assist in audit preparation and respond to audit queries efficiently Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and strengthen financial controls Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant trust accounting legislation and software

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Previous experience in trust accounting within the real estate industry (essential) Strong understanding of NSW trust accounting legislation and compliance standards Proficiency in property management and accounting software (e.g. Property Tree, Console, PropertyMe or similar) Excellent attention to detail and time management skills Strong communication and problem-solving abilities A proactive and team-oriented approach to work
Requirements:
Class 2 or above Real Estate Licence Experience supporting both sales and property management trust accounts
