Your new company
Hays is proud to be partnering with this forward-thinking organisation who is a recognised leader in its industry, delivering cutting-edge technology solutions to clients across the globe. With roots in Hobart & Australia and a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation, it offers a dynamic environment where your HR expertise will help shape the future of a rapidly evolving sector.
Your new role
This organisation is seeking a capable and self-managed HR & WHS Project Lead to deliver a 2 year direct contract to achieve a strategic project focused on compliance, systems implementation, and scalable best practice development. With a strong initial focus on the Australian business, this role will expand to support international offices across Latin America, Southeast Asia, and other emerging regions.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of HR and WHS frameworks from the ground up. You'll lead the completion of an existing HR audit, ensure compliance with employment law and awards, and build systems that support a diverse and expanding workforce.
You'll also drive change management initiatives, including the rollout of electronic timesheeting and WHS platforms, and embed safe work practices across operational environments. As the organisation scales globally, you'll help establish a consistent and culturally responsive HR and WHS foundation across multiple jurisdictions.
What you'll need to succeed
You're an experienced HR and/or WHS professional with a strong understanding of Australian employment law and compliance. You're confident working independently, managing your own workload, and engaging with diverse teams across cultures. Experience with system rollouts and change management will be highly regarded.
What you'll get in return
This is a rare opportunity to lead this HR/WHS project in a business that's scaling rapidly across the globe. You'll enjoy flexible working arrangements, a collaborative team environment, and the chance to make a lasting impact on how this organisation supports its people and ensures safe, compliant operations worldwide.
