The Opportunity
We are seeking an intermediate level Water Planning Engineer to join our thriving team based in Newcastle. This exciting opportunity involves multiple aspects of engineering consulting:
* Supporting senior engineers in delivering planning, feasibility, and strategy studies for water, wastewater, and recycled water projects.
* Hydraulic modelling of water supply and wastewater systems.
* GIS analysis, cost estimation, and report preparation.
* Field inspection and condition assessment of water supply, wastewater, and stormwater assets.
* Collaborating with other disciplines to contribute to process engineering, design, and asset management projects.
About You
You will play a key role in contributing to the growth of our Water Planning team. Essential qualities include a proactive attitude, willingness to get involved, and desire to learn.
To be successful, you must demonstrate:
* Recently completed a civil or environmental engineering degree with high results.
* Knowledge and interest in water and wastewater network planning.
* A commitment to learning and expanding your knowledge of the water industry.
* Sound reasoning and problem-solving skills.
* Exemplary skills in Microsoft packages including Excel and Word.
