The department’s plans, programs, and initiatives are structured to meet the requirements of the Southeast Queensland Regional Plan and related State legislation, in addition to supporting local demands and needs.As a Principal Strategic Planner in the Growth Areas team, will provide specialist planning and lead the delivery of highly complex strategic planning and placemaking projects and services to meet the needs of the community within City of Moreton Bay.Additionally, you will also:lead complex and high-profile projects and specialist teams, including external consultantsprovide specialist technical input into the development and implementation of key policy relating to the planning scheme, infrastructure planning, significant major projects and key placemaking activitiesfacilitate project-based community consultation including representing Council at a range of customer meetings, community, and business forumsact as a Council delegate on a variety of projects, providing a source of professional advice to key stakeholderssupport the development of team capability to drive a high performance, continuous improvement and customer focused culture.About youYou will have knowledge and experience in strategic land use planning and development assessment practices, structure planning/ urban design for greenfield expansion areas to support integrated land use and infrastructure planning outcomes, and delivery of holistic community outcomes.
