The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Subcontracts Specialist to join our E7-A Sustainment Team to support several key sub-contracts. The successful candidate will work closely with a range of stakeholders to support complex supply chain requirements for the sustainment of the Wedgetail program.
Responsibilities
* Engage with internal stakeholders;
* Maintain currency of existing subcontracts including negotiating and implementing complex subcontract variations;
* Manage existing subcontracts and promote subcontractor collaboration to ensure on time performance and compliance;
* Develop practical and efficient solutions to complex procurement and subcontracts issues;
* Identify and develop appropriate sourcing strategies and approaches to market for goods and services, including software, and engineering services;
* Prepare, negotiate and execute contract documentation in accordance with delegations of authority;
* Manage subcontractor invoicing compliance and reporting;
* Participate in risk identification and mitigation planning; and
* Ensure compliance with supply chain management corporate governance policies and procedures.
Qualifications
* Three (3) to five (5) years' work experience in contracts management or procurement;
* Relevant Bachelor's degree in law, business or commerce (desirable);
* Effective written and verbal communications skills;
* Good working knowledge of contracting and procurement and their interdependencies with other departments and disciplines (e.g., engineering, logistics, finance);
* A willingness to work in a team environment.
