Mercure Newcastle is seeking a Full Time Breakfast Chef to join our small kitchen team.
As our Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of breakfast dishes, from traditional hot breakfasts to healthier and continental options. You will manage the breakfast section efficiently, ensuring timely preparation, perfect cooking, and attractive presentation.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Prepare, cook, and serve food for the breakfast buffet, showcasing variety and flair
* Ensure strict stock rotation and minimal wastage following stock control procedures
* Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in all working areas. Wash all dishes during service as required
* Assist with in-house functions, restaurant, and cafe food as needed
* Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced, and cleaned. Report any issues to the Food & Beverage Operations Manager
Your Skills and experience include:
* Experience in buffet breakfast service preferred
* Consistently deliver high-quality food while maintaining set food costs
* Collaborate with service teams to ensure quality products and guest satisfaction
* Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
* Strong planning and organizational skills
* Willingness to learn and go above and beyond for our guests
