Support legal and policy research for a truth-telling project on First Nations laws and policies at the Justice and Equity Centre.
Your Role
Here's what you will be doing:
* Support day-to-day implementation of the Towards Truth project with legal and policy research
* Research and analyse specific areas of law and policy impacting First Nations people
* Develop and review research requests for pro bono lawyers and interns under the direction of the Research Manager
* Contribute to plain-English summaries of research areas for the Towards Truth website
About You
The company is looking for:
* An Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person who has completed or is completing a law degree
* Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
* Understanding of the Uluru Statement of the Heart and a commitment to truth-telling
