Are you passionate about trading cards, collectibles, and connecting with a growing community of hobbyists? We're looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Retail, Online Sales & Live Break Assistant to join our team and support both our in-store operations and expanding digital presence.
About Us
We're a locally owned trading card store specialising in Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, NBA, and NFL cards. We serve collectors of all levels with great service, a well-stocked retail space, a growing online store, and regular live breaks that bring the excitement straight to our community.
Responsibilities
* Delivering exceptional face‑to‑face customer service, helping collectors find what they need and feel welcome in‑store
* Assisting with card sorting, restocking, and store presentation
* Processing and fulfilling online orders (via Shopify, eBay, etc.)
* Packing and shipping cards securely and accurately
* Creating and posting engaging social media content (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)
* Running and hosting live box breaks, including setting up streams, engaging viewers, and showcasing hits on camera
* Responding to online customer inquiries (comments, messages, emails)
* Supporting events, trade nights, and new product launches
* Staying up to date with card releases, trends, and hobby developments
Qualifications
* A driver's licence
* A genuine love for trading cards (Pokémon, MTG, NBA, NFL) and knowledge of sets, hits, and card values
* A proven ability to provide outstanding in‑person customer service – friendly, professional, and helpful
* Experience with or willingness to learn how to run live breaks on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or Whatnot
* Confident communication skills
* Experience creating engaging content for social media
* High attention to detail – especially when handling valuable cards
* A reliable, proactive, team‑oriented attitude
* Prior retail or hobby industry experience is a plus but not essential
* Familiarity with Shopify, eBay, or other ecommerce platforms (a plus but not required)
