Primary objective
Provide project and contract administration advice and services to support the delivery of Government's infrastructure
programs.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide advice and support to Project/Program Officers/Managers and Directors to ensure that projects and contracts
are compliant with business processes and accountabilities.
1. Provide data recording, documentation and record keeping related to assigned Minor New Works, Repairs, Maintenance
and less complex Capital Works, Recoverable Works and Consultancy Projects.
1. Process and monitor the financial administration of projects and contracts to ensure that cash flow and expenditure
targets are met.
4. Provide support and foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary practice and role modelling behaviour.
1. Establish an excellent working relationship with clients and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, on all
matters relating to project administration to ensure services are being delivered effectively and within prescribed
timeframes.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Ability to provide project and contract administration advice to Project Officers and client agencies on assigned Minor
New Works, Repairs, Maintenance and less complex Capital Works, Recoverable Works and Consultancy Projects.
2. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to explain procedures, standards and systems in a manner suited to
the needs of technical and professional staff and gain timely cooperation.
1. Good written skills with the ability to prepare accurate memoranda as well as comprehensive and succinct file notes.
2. Sound knowledge of mainframe or comparable PC based project administration, financial management and reporting
systems along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Office related software.
1. High-level skills in maintaining data integrity with thoroughness, attention to detail and accuracy.
2. A good knowledge of project and contract administration procedures and systems and relevant legislation and guidelines.
3. An ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
Desirable
1. A sound knowledge of the structure and business of the Department of Logistic and Infrastructure across the Territory.
