The Commis Chef reports directly to the Jr Sous Chef and offers an energetic and exciting hands-on approach to flawless product execution in an environment focused on safety and culinary excellence.

A few of your responsibilities:
* Support the assigned section in the kitchen as directed by the Jr Sous Chef
* Assist with fundamental cooking and food preparation tasks
* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations
* Complete all duties in line with company and statutory hygiene requirements
* Meet requirements for consistency and high quality in a fast-paced environment
What we are looking for:
* Experience with Japanese cuisine e.g, Tempura, robata desirable
* Proficiency with diverse food preparation techniques and cooking equipment
* Experience in signature dinning settings, with strong communication skills and understanding of relevant liquor laws
* Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays

You are passionate and creative, willing to share your skills and expertise in guiding and shaping those who are new to a fast-paced kitchen. With exceptional communication skills, you enjoy collaborating with colleagues and management as well as interacting with our customers. You bring a proactive, positive attitude to every task and are committed to consistently delivering high standards.
