This is a unique opportunity to join our state government client as a Regulatory Licensing Team Lead. In this fixed-term contract role, you will manage the allocation and delivery of licensing enquiries and applications, ensuring matters are appropriately resolved or referred.
Job Description
The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day operations of the Licensing team, ensuring timely resolution of matters. They will also supervise and support staff, including direct and temporary reports, and liaise with internal stakeholders, including lawyers, on legal and regulatory enquiries.
You will provide input into process improvements, reporting, and regulatory projects, and support management with planning, stakeholder engagement, and data insights.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally in the Public Service or a regulatory environment.
* Ability to manage workloads, staff, and competing priorities in a high-volume setting.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* A legal background or tertiary qualification in law will be highly regarded.
