Job Description
Join a team of aviation specialists providing crucial maintenance support to both ADF aircraft. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Defence aircraft (avionics, structural components, or mechanical systems). This includes troubleshooting, fault finding, repairs, and modifications in line with approved procedures and standards.
* Conduct routine and preventative maintenance activities to ensure the airworthiness of Defence aircraft.
* Assist in managing technical investigations, documentation, and reporting of maintenance activities and outcomes.
* Engage in configuration management and technical change management tasks, ensuring Defence compliance and operational readiness.
* Liaise with engineering teams, Defence stakeholders, and operational staff to support aircraft maintenance objectives.
* Provide technical mentoring and supervision to junior team members as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics, Mechanical, or Structures).
* Proven experience in aircraft maintenance within a Defence environment (rotary-wing or fixed-wing platforms).
* Strong technical understanding of aircraft systems and Defence maintenance standards.
* Ability to read, interpret, and work from aircraft engineering drawings and specifications.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly document maintenance outcomes.
* BASELINE Defence Security Clearance (minimum requirement).

Eligibility Requirements
* Australian Citizenship: Essential due to Defence requirements.
* Security Clearance: Must hold, at minimum, a BASELINE Defence security clearance (NV1 highly regarded).
