Job Description

Are you passionate about transforming how Australians eat? Do you thrive in a creative, fast-paced environment where food meets innovation? As part of our continued growth, commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, we're excited to welcome a Development Chef to our Research & Development team in Brisbane. Reporting to the Group R&D Manager, you'll play a key role in developing new meal concepts, challenging existing products and processes to elevate and evolve our current range.

Key Responsibilities:

* Creating new meal concepts aligned with market trends, target customer demographic and customer need
* Challenging and improving existing products and processes.
* Collaborating across departments including commercial, production and technical teams.
* Conducting consumer testing and taste panels.
* Ensuring new products meet food safety standards and are commercially viable.
* Maintaining high standards of hygiene and GMP in the R&D kitchen.
* Supporting benchtop handover and upscaling activities with the Food Technology team.
* Preparing meals for internal assessments and photography.

About You:

* Minimum 5 years' experienceas a chef or product development role.
* Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
* Strong food knowledge and creativity.
* A methodical approach and understanding of both the art and science of cooking.
* Ability to scale ingredients, assemble bench samples, and perform test kitchen tasks independently.
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
* Understands the importance of GMP guidelines and safety procedures.
* Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* Resilience and adaptability to changing priorities.
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
