Aboriginal Mental Health Worker Position
About the Role:
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work as a member of a multidisciplinary regional mental health team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the accessibility of mental health services to Aboriginal children, young people, families, and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide high-quality mental health services to Aboriginal clients in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
* To contribute to the development and implementation of mental health programs and services that are responsive to the needs of Aboriginal communities.
* To work closely with community-based organizations and service providers to ensure seamless care coordination and referral processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree in a relevant field such as psychology, social work, or nursing.
* Experience working with Aboriginal communities and individuals, preferably in a mental health context.
* Strong understanding of cultural safety principles and practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
