Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing and transport. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as 'The Food Bowl of Australia' as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area.
Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 65,000, and an expenditure budget in excess of $118 million. The population is culturally diverse with 9.9% of residents being born overseas. **Accounts Payable Officer**

The Finance and Rates Department are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accounts Payable Officer to join the Financial Operations team. This role provides efficient, timely and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions and a high level of customer service to internal staff and external suppliers. Additionally, this role shares responsibility for daily downloading of financial receipting data from third party facilities and daily upload of all financial receipting files to Council's finance system. The role also focuses on ensuring compliance with financial controls and mitigating risks associated with accounts payable.
The successful applicant will possess demonstrated experience in accounts payable; strong interpersonal and communication skills including well-developed customer service skills; experience with contemporary financial management systems; and the ability to solve problems.
