Spinifex State College - Mount Isa Education and Training Precinct are seeking applications for a Deputy Principal to join the Junior Campus within their school community. As Deputy Principal, you will possess exceptional leadership skills, a proven track record in educational excellence, and a commitment to creating a nurturing and innovative school culture.

About Us
Spinifex State College is a three campus educational facility. Our Junior Campus caters to years 7-9, Senior Campus years 10-12 and the Residential Campus houses all boarding students.

Our school aims to develop clever, skilled and creative learners. To achieve this aim, we provide students with access to quality curriculum programs and learning opportunities. We also inspire our students to explore their passions, harness their unique talents and fulfil their potential.

Our strong links with Mount Isa Mines and other businesses have led to many authentic learning opportunities to prepare students for their chosen post-school pathways. This includes school-based apprenticeships/traineeships and work experience. Spinifex students are encouraged to work hard and achieve their best - our school is proud of our students and their achievements.

About The Role
Responsibilities include, but not limited to,

* Support the Principal in leading the school community to develop and commit to a shared, future-focused educational vision that delivers high-quality learning outcomes for all students, and deputise for the Principal as required.
* Uphold the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral role, embedding socially just practices in everyday school life.
* Set and maintain high expectations and standards for student achievement and staff performance.
* Actively engage in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development, informed by a strong understanding of relevant legislation and education policy.
* Build effective partnerships with parents, government agencies, community organisations, industry and business, and strategically manage resources to achieve school goals.
