Military Exercise Planner - Integration Specialist
Location: This position will be based at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW, 2314.
Details: Bonboo is seeking an experienced Exercise Planner to join our team and support complex, national level Defence exercises in partnership with Commonwealth stakeholders. This is a full time permanent role, suited to a professional who enjoys shaping, planning, and delivering high impact operational exercises within a Defence environment.
What you'll be doing:
* Lead and support Exercise Planning (A5) activities across the full Air Warfare Centre (AWC) exercise lifecycle
* Contribute to scenario design, scheduling, coordination, and control of large, multi-agency exercises
* Work closely with Defence, industry, and Exercise Control stakeholders to ensure exercises meet strategic and operational objectives
* Apply structured planning methodologies to manage risk, dependencies, and execution outcomes
* Produce clear, defensible planning artefacts, briefs, and reports for senior audiences
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience in Defence exercise planning and execution (ADF, APS, or defence industry)
* Strong understanding of EXCON frameworks and operational planning processes
* Ability to operate confidently in complex, high tempo environments
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Security Clearance Requirement:
* The incumbent must hold at minimum a current Australian Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) clearance at all times while performing this role; a higher-level clearance would be advantageous.
Total Remuneration Package Range: $200,000–$220,000 includes Superannuation. p.a. Full-time basis, including regular employee leave allowances and benefits.
