Medical Records & Front Desk Administrator
The Role of the Medical Records and Front Desk Administrator is to provide a high level of support in managing medical records, patient admissions, and reception duties at our cancer centre. This role requires strong organisational and communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage, retrieve, and distribute medical records for hospital admissions and appointments
* Sort and file records in designated storage areas
* Maintain accurate records registers and conduct regular audits
* Prepare treatment plans and charts for clinics
* Greet patients and visitors professionally at reception
* Support patient admission and discharge processes
* Perform health fund checks and discuss costs with patients
* Update patient details regularly
* Coordinate patient arrivals and manage waiting room functions
Requirements:
* Experience in healthcare administration an advantage
* Knowledge of Medicare, DVA, and private health processes required
* Strong organisational and communication skills essential
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel necessary
* Customer-focused with attention to detail and ability to work independently
