About Western Plains Correctional Centre
Western Plains Correctional Centre (Western Plains) is Victoria's new, state-of-the-art maximum-security correctional facility.

It's your life experience that counts in this job.
You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold Australian permanent residency.
You also need to hold an Australian driver's licence (minimum P2).
Sign-On Bonus Details
New prison officers are now eligible for a bonus of up to $8,000.
Six months after commencing, you will receive a payment of $4,000.
Then, after one year's full-time employment, you will receive an additional payment of $4,000.

Benefits
Earn up to$91,202with a base salary of $63,469 plus penalty rates and overtime
Annual salary increases, 5 weeks annual leave, 3 weeks personal leave and provisions for study leave
41 days comprehensive paid training (full time)
Complete a Certificate III in Correctional Practice (Adult Custodial) – when completed, increases your base salary
Relocation assistance of up to $10,000 if you're moving from more than 100 km away
Recruitment Locations
Geelong Region, Ararat, Castlemaine, or surrounding areas
Candidates willing to relocate to one of these regions (relocation support up to $10,000)
