The Role
BGIS is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our Self Perform team servicing Newcastle, delivering high-quality carpentry maintenance, repairs, and minor works across commercial client facilities.
In this role, you'll provide end-to-end building maintenance support as part of a collaborative building services team. You'll be responsible for planned and reactive carpentry works including repairs, fit-outs, installations, and general building maintenance, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to BGIS quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing
* Deliver planned and reactive carpentry maintenance across client facilities
* Conduct building repairs, installations, refurbishments, and general carpentry works
* Complete minor construction and fit-out works across commercial building environments
* Maintain and manage company tools and equipment
* Complete work orders within required timeframes using BGIS systems
* Support service delivery to meet contract KPIs and client expectations
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders where required
* Ensure facilities remain safe, compliant, and maintained to BGIS quality standards
* Provide job estimates and assist with maintenance planning where required
* Ensure all works comply with WHS, compliance, environmental, and quality standards
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders
* Contribute to continuous improvement and safe work practices across service delivery
Your Education, Experience & Skills
* Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery
* Minimum 3 years of post-trade carpentry experience
* Strong technical understanding of building maintenance and construction
* Strong attention to detail and time management skills
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Current Driver's Licence
* White Card (Construction Induction)
* Full working rights in Australia (essential)
