We are a medical practice seeking to hire a dynamic doctor. We have a team of practitioners including GPs, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Orthopaedic surgeons, Psychiatrists, Physicians, and we are seeking resident medical officers to support this team.
Role Overview
The RMO will work under the supervision of senior medical practitioners, providing safe, effective, and patient-centred care across general practice, acute presentations, and procedural support. The role involves direct patient assessment, management, documentation, and participation in multidisciplinary care.
Key Duties
* Conducting examinations and questioning patients to determine the nature of disorders and illnesses, and recording patients' medical information
* Ordering laboratory tests, x-rays and other diagnostic procedures, and interpreting findings to assist in diagnosis
* Providing overall care for patients, and prescribing and administering treatments, medications and other remedial measures
* Monitoring patients' progress and response to treatment
* Advising on diet, exercise and other habits which aid prevention and treatment of disease and disorders
* Referring patients to, and exchanging medical information with, specialist medical practitioners
* Reporting births, deaths and notifiable diseases to government authorities
* Arranging the admission of patients to hospitals
Essential Requirements
· MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognised in Australia.
· Current AHPRA General Registration (or eligibility to obtain it).
· Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical reasoning skills.
· Ability to work independently under supervision in a busy clinical environment.
· Commitment to high standards of patient care and professional conduct.
· Understanding of Australian healthcare standards and patient-centred care.
Desirable Experience
* Previous experience as an Intern or RMO in Australia or in a comparable health system.
* Experience in general practice, urgent care, or acute patient management.
