Role Title: Parts Coordinator
Location: Remote, NT
Reporting To: Senior Maintenance Planner / Relevant Area Supervisor
Employment Type: Contractor
Roster: 14/7
Role Purpose
The Parts Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting maintenance planning and execution across LV, HME, shutdowns, and other operational areas. This role will focus on improving parts traceability, cost control, and inventory alignment, while also providing cross-functional support to teams including Water Treatment, Electrical, and Warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate ordering of parts for LV, HME, and shutdown activities
- Ensure timely availability of critical spares and consumables
- Track and report on parts usage and costs
- Create and manage notifications, work orders, and purchase requisitions in SAP
- Maintain and update SAP Master Data (materials, vendors, BOMs)
- Support alignment of stock items with maintenance plans and asset strategies
- Assist with parts logistics and coordination during shutdowns
- Collaborate with warehouse team to reduce obsolete or slow-moving stock
- Support critical spares reviews and BOM development
- Provide support to Water Treatment and Electrical teams
- Help free up senior staff by taking on operational tasks
- Maintain tracking sheets and dashboards to monitor role impact
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Skills & Experience (Essential)
- Strong working knowledge of SAP (PM and MM modules)
- Minimum 1-2 years of SAP experience required
- Experience with Master Data management (materials, BOMs, vendors)
- Understanding of maintenance planning and asset management
- 1-2 years hands-on maintenance planning experience required
- Familiarity with LV and HME equipment and parts
- Working knowledge of LV and HME equipment and parts required
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Australian permanent residents only will be considered
- High school completion minimum education requirement
- Experience supporting shutdowns or major maintenance events
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
- Proficiency in Power BI or Excel for reporting and tracking
