About Schwartz Excavations
We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, energetic, hands-on individual to join our team as a Business Support Officer.
Reporting directly to the Business Manager, you will support the daily operations of our office, collaborating with the Business Manager, Office Manager, Operations Manager, project personnel, office staff, and trade staff to ensure efficient business processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors regarding invoices, payments, and other business matters.
Assist in preparing financial reports for management.
Manage invoice processing, payments, record keeping, vendor communication, and compliance.
Support management with ad hoc financial and administrative tasks.
Ensure business systems have up-to-date information.
Assist in managing training profiles and competencies.
Ensure compliance with legislative obligations.
Support ongoing business changes.

Prerequisites:

Significant experience in financial administration and accounts payable within complex organizations.
At least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
Tertiary qualification in Business or Accounting (preferred).
Strong bookkeeping skills, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliation, with MYOB experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers, suppliers, and team members.
A team player with efficient work habits, excellent time management, self-motivation, and reliability.
