About the role
Deliver major infrastructure while working local on the Sunshine Coast
Not every major infrastructure role requires FIFO or city commutes.
We are looking for a Senior Planner to join our team delivering the Aura and Harmony Infrastructure Program on the Sunshine Coast — a major water and wastewater project supporting two of Queensland’s fastest-growing communities.
This is a locally based role in Meridan Plains, giving you the opportunity to work on complex infrastructure while enjoying the lifestyle the Sunshine Coast is known for. You’ll also join a friendly, collaborative project team that values planners and their input.
About the project
The Aura and Harmony developments will house more than 70,000 future residents. Works include large-diameter pipelines (up to 900mm), 12 ML water reservoirs, pump stations, and both open trench and trenchless construction. This critical infrastructure will support community growth while creating local jobs and opportunities for First Nations and local businesses.
What will you be doing?
As Senior Planner, you will manage planning and scheduling while working closely with engineers, supervisors, and delivery teams to keep the project on track. You will also support other projects in the region, contributing planning expertise and strengthening project controls.
Your work will include:
Developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6. Monitoring progress, trends, and emerging risks. Preparing reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Supporting site teams with planning insights and schedule optimisation. Contributing to improved planning processes across the project and region.
What will you bring?
You are an experienced planner who enjoys being connected to the project and site teams, rather than just working behind a desk. You communicate confidently at all levels and can translate complex planning data into clear insights.
You will bring:
Experience in construction or infrastructure project planning (extra points if you have worked on piping projects). Contractor-side project delivery experience. Strong reporting and presentation capabilities. Experience with Primavera P6 (Aphex advantageous). Ability to manage schedules in complex project environments.
