The Hobart Women’s Shelter (HWS) is seeking a Project Officer to support the Deputy CEO and Management Team across a diverse range of organisational initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute behind the scenes to work that directly supports women and children experiencing homelessness and family violence.

About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. Working under the direction of the Deputy CEO, you will support multiple projects across the organisation, including:
* Quality improvement and internal audit processes
* Policy and procedure development
* Grant and tender submissions
* Communications (website, social media, newsletters)
* Data collection, surveys and reporting
* Spreadsheet and tracking systems management
If you enjoy bringing structure to complexity, keeping projects on track, and working across different areas of a business—this role is for you.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a female (Hobart Women's Shelter has an exemption under Anti-Discrimination Act 1998 to appoint females only) who is:
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* A confident written communicator
* Skilled in Microsoft Excel and document management
* Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
* Interested in continuous improvement and quality systems
Experience in community services, project support, or administration is highly regarded.
Details
* Hours: Part-time - 37.5 hours per fortnight, (worked across 3 or 4 days per week)
* Award: SCHADS Level 3-4 depending on experience

Selection Criteria
1 Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management Systems, including experience supporting internal audits and contributing to reporting continuous improvement processes and maintaining organisational registers.
2 Demonstrated experience assisting with the preparation of documentation such as grant submissions, tenders, policies and processes and reports
3 Demonstrated experience supporting the running of events and activities
4 Experience gathering evidence, data collection and creation of surveys, including recording outcomes, collating data and identifying trends to assist in decision making
5 Experience supporting communications such as website updates, social media and newsletters.
6 Demonstrated organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
7 Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data management, and the ability to learn new systems.
8 Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping and written communication.
