Overview
We are seeking a graduate teaching assistant to support our teaching team in delivering Level 3 to 7 bioscience courses. The Schools of Life Sciences, Pharmacy and Chemistry deliver a range of bioscience courses, including Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, and Biological Sciences.
You will join a team of academics to support teaching, lab practicals, workshops, and seminars, and you will support the delivery and assessment on a range of modules in fully accredited bioscience programmes with a focus on practical, real-world skills and increasing digital content.
Responsibilities
* Support teaching teams in delivering Level 3 to 7 bioscience modules, including lab practicals, workshops, and seminars.
* Assist with delivery and assessment on a range of modules in fully accredited bioscience programmes.
* Contribute to the development of teaching practices and digital content to enhance student learning and employability.
Qualifications
* 2:1 (or above) BSc (Hons) degree in a relevant bioscience subject.
* Familiarity with the R programming language is desirable.
* Strong communication and organisational skills with a genuine motivation to support student learning and develop teaching practice.
* Ability to work collaboratively to enhance the Faculty's reputation in higher education and occupational circles.
