Job Title: Senior Manager Strategy and Performance
You are an experienced professional who has previously supported a Leadership Team. This role requires you to have a broad skillset and have worked across multiple functions, including project management, budgeting, operations, and coordinating strategic plans.

The Corporate Affairs division coordinates and oversees internal and external communications, media relations, events, and government and industry affairs. Your role is to earn trust by advancing CBA's reputation through advocacy with internal and external stakeholders and to deliver advice and insights to inform decisions.
You will report to the Strategy and Performance (S&P) Lead - Corporate Affairs and support strategic planning, performance, budget management, project management, and operations across the CA function. You will be a key influencer and implementer of strategic and transformation priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategy and Performance:
o Manage the operating rhythm of the Leadership Team, including setting agendas and tracking actions and key decisions from LT meetings.
o Support the Corporate Affairs strategic planning process, including coordination of Big Room Planning activities and quarterly priority setting and alignment to MCA OKRs.
o Track key performance indicators and monitor performance across CA.
o Support the S&P Lead with the management of the CA delivery plan and ensure regular reporting of strategic priorities and identification of any blockers or key decisions needed.
o Manage the planning for leadership offsites and team engagement events.
o Provide strategic advice on LT priorities, including co-creating papers and presentations.
o Project management for key initiatives that the CA Strategy and Performance team own.
o Support the development and execution of any CA-related HR/people-related activities.
o Analyse various information sources and structure it clearly and concisely for stakeholders to understand and make informed decisions.
* Financial Management:
o Coordinate CA financial management and workforce activity through appropriate tracking via forecasts, budgets, actuals, and reconciliation processes.
o Partner with the S&P Lead and Finance team to ensure that Corporate Affairs stays within its cost targets and manages FTE and expenditure.
o Help ensure Corporate Affairs executive accountabilities are defined and adhered to per the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR).
* Risk Management:
o Support the effective implementation of the Group's Risk Management Approach, including adherence with policies, and the design, implementation, and testing of controls.
o Partner with S&P Lead and MCA Risk team to ensure the successful implementation of the CA delivery plan and key CA activities through effective management of risk considerations.
Selection Criteria:
* Demonstrated success supporting a leadership team with proven strategy, project management, and business management capabilities.
* Financial management acumen, ability to interpret and manage budgets and forecasting.
* Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities under pressure.
* Strong ability to analyse and connect various forms of data and insight to write clear and concise content, shaped to connect particularly at an executive level.
* Strong written communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
* Passion for using AI to transform processes, create efficiencies, and drive impact.
* Ability to apply discretion and confidentiality.
* Effective interpersonal skills – collaboration, influencing, negotiation, conflict resolution.
* Proactive, positive attitude, taking ownership to drive toward an optimal outcome.
* A relevant tertiary qualification, ideally in communications, business, or similar focus.
