It is a deeply values-led organisation and has been at the forefront of community development in South Australia for over 40 years.With 230 members consisting of community centres, neighbourhood houses, and other leading community focused organisations, CCSA enhances community connectedness and champions inclusivity, reconciliation, and solutions to loneliness – to name a few – through advocacy, research, capacity building and training.Our client is seeking high performing candidates for the role of CEO who have demonstrated passion, commitment and enthusiasm to lead and drive the strategic direction and vision of CCSA to support and develop the Community Centres sector and to promote contemporary community development principles and practices in South Australia.Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:Championing the importance and social value of the sector and place-based community developmentEngaging collaboratively, effectively and influentially with membersBuilding collaborative and strategic stakeholder alliances and partnershipsEffectively representing the sector through influential external advocacyManaging staff and supporting the development of a high-performing and values-aligned cultureAchieving a strong financial position and long-term financial sustainabilityAs the successful candidate, you will be a strategic, values-based leader with a deep and genuine commitment to CCSA’s purpose. You will have demonstrated successful leadership in not-for-profit or community service organisations, and with exemplary judgement, strong business acumen and governance.With outstanding leadership, organisational and planning skills, as well as the ability to develop and nurture productive working relationships with a range of key stakeholders, you will also be able to demonstrate contemporary knowledge of the Community Centre sector as well as the principles and practices of community development and social justice.Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are also essential to the role.For details of the Position Description visit www.vuca.com.au/ceoccsa.
