Boral in SA is currently seeking an experienced Fitter to join our workshop team based at Linwood. This role will be a nightshift-based role reporting to the Team Leader/Supervisor. You will be responsible for a range of maintenance activities including planned maintenance, minimising production downtime and maximising the plant efficiency.
Your day will involve:
Work safely in line with OH&S procedures and legislation.
Complete preventative maintenance routines and assist in the continual improvement.
Assist in maintaining the mechanical maintenance spare parts stock.
Fault find, modify and maintain crushing, screening and batching equipment across various plants.
Strip and rebuild components to the original specifications and performance.
Complete documentation to ensure plant data remains current.
Overtime may be required to supplement the maintenance effort.
What we are looking for:
Relevant fitter trade qualifications
Experience with crushing & screening equipment preferred.
Experience and understanding of pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
Motivated self-starter who is results-oriented and driven to succeed
Works in a professional manner
